City Hall sign at Civic CenterThe City Administrator, an appointee of the Governing Body, works on behalf of and reports directly to the City's elected officials. The Administrator oversees the day-to-day operations of the City, and works on an ongoing basis with elected officials in establishing priorities for the City organization. 

The City's five department directors report directly to the City Administrator. 

The City Administrator's Office provides responsible, efficient leadership for the City organization, serves the City's elected officials, and continually pushes the City organization to deliver quality, affordable City services that meet both the needs and the wishes of the Spring Hill community. 

Responsibilities of the City Administrator include: 

  • Working with each City department on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the City organization carries out its mission as directed by the Governing Body in a responsible, effective and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring that elected officials receive organizational information and consultation in a timely manner in order to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Establishing, presenting, and publishing an annual budget for the operation of the City organization. The City Administrator works with both the City's elected officials and staff to ensure that a fiscally responsible and workable annual budget is established which ensures the ongoing effectiveness of each of the City's functions while also providing for the needs and wishes of the community.
