[ARCHIVED] Spring Hill's Fitness Court Studio: Grand Opening Event

Fitness Court

Healthy Blue Kansas, Spring Hill Recreation Commission, the City of Spring Hill, and National Fitness Campaign (NFC) are proud to announce the launch of an outdoor Fitness Court Studio at Friendship Park, located at 401 N Madison Street. A ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce will take place on September 25 at 5 p.m.

The Fitness Court Studio is part of a nationwide initiative to provide equitable access to free, high-quality workouts for communities across Kansas. It features a dynamic seven-minute full-body workout on one side, and a versatile outdoor class space on the other, perfect for yoga, Zumba, Pilates, and other group wellness activities.

“We’re excited to introduce the first Fitness Court Studio in the county! This unique facility not only enhances the offerings of the Spring Hill Recreation Commission but also provides our residents with another free resource to stay active. It’s a great step forward for our community in promoting health and wellness, something I am very passionate about, and we look forward to seeing everyone enjoy this innovative space,” says Spring Hill Mayor Joe Berkey.

Designed for individuals aged 14 and older and for all fitness levels, the Fitness Court Studio is accessible to everyone, providing adaptive exercises that let users go at their own pace. Visitors can also download the free Fitness Court App, which serves as a "coach-in-your-pocket" and transforms the outdoor space into a digitally connected fitness experience.

“We’re excited to partner with the City of Spring Hill in promoting health and wellness," says Mitch Menaged, founder of National Fitness Campaign. The addition of this Fitness Court Studio shows a true commitment to the wellbeing of residents, and we’re proud to welcome Spring Hill to the campaign.”

Residents are encouraged to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and experience the Fitness Court Studio firsthand. See more details in the City Calendar.
