Make sure you celebrate the end of 2025 responsibly! New Year’s Eve is one of the deadliest nights of the year for drunk driving.
To help keep impaired drivers off our streets, Spring Hill police officers are stepping up DUI enforcement over the holidays. They'll work overtime as part of a statewide campaign called "Taking Down DUI.”
During the weeklong campaign, they'll arrest anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The officers' goal is to help keep you safe on the roadways.
How to celebrate responsibly:
- Plan a safe ride home before you go to a party. If you drink, call a ride-share or a sober friend.
- If you see someone drinking, arrange a sober ride home or take away their keys.
- Contact the police if you see an impaired driver on the road.
The campaign runs from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2.
