City Council Vacancy
Councilman Chip VanHouden recently announced his resignation to the Spring Hill City Council; therefore, a vacancy on the City Council is open. The selected applicant will serve until the next regular election, with the term ending in January 2026.
- Residency Requirement: Must reside within Spring Hill city limits
- Term Length: Through January 2026

The City is accepting applications for various boards and commissions, where you can lend your voice to key community decisions. Openings include:
- Openings include:
- Cemetery Board – Open to USD 230 residents or those who own one or more burial plots
- Parks Advisory Board (Green Board) – Open to residents and non-residents
- Planning Commission (City Representative) – Must reside within Spring Hill city limits
- Planning Commission (Johnson County Representative) – Must live within three miles of Spring Hill corporate limits
- Term Length: Through February 2028
- Deadline to Apply: Noon on Friday, January 31, 2025
