Spring Hill Aquatic Center management has decided not to open on May 26. Crews are still working to locate and fix a leak. This is a unique challenge; there are no signs of significant pipe damage, so crews believe that the leak is small. Unfortunately, the small size of the leak makes it harder to locate.
Safety is the top priority at the Spring Hill Aquatic Center. Staying closed to address the issue reduces the risk of larger problems later in the summer. The City believes that this is the best course of action for the safety of our staff and guests.
Earlier this week, the Spring Hill Aquatic Center notified the public about the concern. The City contracted leak detection experts from Lexington Plumbing to find the source of the leak.
The Aquatic Center will continue to share updates regarding the progress of the repairs and an anticipated opening date. We thank our community for their patience and understanding.
