Aquatic Center takes proactive measures ahead of possible delayed opening

City News Center Posted on May 21, 2024

Spring Hill Aquatic Center staff discovered a leak while preparing for the anticipated season opening on Sunday, May 26. The opening date may be delayed to allow time for thorough repairs.
To quickly address the issue, Spring Hill has contracted pool leak detection specialists from Lexington Plumbing. These experts utilize technology to pinpoint the source of the leak. Once the leak is repaired, staff will finish the process of filling the pool and balancing the chemicals.
“Our top priority is ensuring the aquatic center is safe for our guests,” says Spring Hill Public Works Director Jacob Speer. “It is essential that we don’t rush these repairs to avoid any oversight.”
The Spring Hill Aquatic Center will post an update on the repairs on Thursday, May, 23. We appreciate the community’s understanding and patience as we maintain our dedication to providing a safe and enjoyable experience at the Spring Hill Aquatic Center.
Spring Hill Aquatic Center management is also monitoring the current weather forecast for the weekend. As a reminder, the aquatic center will not be open during inclement weather producing thunder and lightning or when the ambient temperature is below 72 degrees.
