Calls for Service Log Created to Share Police Activity

City News Center Posted on January 26, 2026

Find out why police officers are in your neighborhood.

The City created a Calls for Service log, allowing residents to view the last 24 hours of calls handled by Spring Hill police officers in near real-time.

The Calls for Service log was made to help promote transparency within the Spring Hill Police Department and to proactively address a new federal policy that requires police radios to be encrypted. The policy was created to protect personal information, such as Social Security numbers and health conditions, while also improving public safety.

The cities of Spring Hill, Gardner, Lake Quivira, and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office are the final law enforcement agencies making this countywide transition, which began in January 2024.

In addition to the Calls for Service log, you can also stay informed about police activity with the City’s Crime Map, which shows data on alleged criminal conduct in Spring Hill.
