City Park is located three blocks west of Webster Street at the intersection of Hale and Washington. The park covers a full city block dotted in mature shade trees.
Amenities include picnic tables, a large gazebo, swings, and playground equipment, as well as access to electrical outlets and an outdoor water hydrant. A beautiful stone water feature commemorates the City's sesquicentennial birthday. Recently, new playground equipment was added to the east side of the park with rubber mulch and new playground borders in addition to a sidewalk from the east parking lot to the playground.
All park amenities are available on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to use the electrical and water utilities, you must call the Public Works Office at (913) 592-3317 at least 24 hours in advance to schedule activation.
