Save the date: Veterans Memorial Plaza dedication ceremony

veterans memorial plaza

The City of Spring Hill invites the public to attend a dedication ceremony of Veterans Memorial Plaza at Veterans Park on Saturday, November 11 at 10 a.m. Veterans Day holds immense significance, as it is a day to honor those who have selflessly served and sacrificed for our nation. The dedication ceremony will pay tribute to our veterans and express our gratitude for their service and mark the grand opening for the new memorial. We extend an invitation to all residents, especially veterans, to join us and be a part of this historical event.

Recently, the memorial reached a significant milestone with the installation of custom granite panels, each one crafted to honor the brave service members who have served our country in each branch of the military. Additional granite panels are placed near the flagpoles and at the entrance of Veterans Memorial Plaza.

As the project nears completion, we kindly ask residents to refrain from entering the fenced-off construction area for their safety and to ensure a smooth construction process. Although the memorial appears to be nearly complete, there is a curing time for elements of the memorial and we don’t want to risk costly damage.

Spring Hill shares gratitude for project donors, support from the community and dedicated public servants for creating a lasting legacy at Veterans Park.
