Cooling center opens at Civic Center

The 401 Event Space at the Civic Center (401 N Madison) is open as a cooling center on Wednesday, July 28 and Thursday, July 29 from noon to 9 p.m. 

The public is welcome to spend time in the air conditioning. Water is available.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for parts of Kansas that includes Spring Hill. Heat index values could reach up to 105, causing concern for heat illnesses.
